The Power Of The Question

We have a guest editorial this week from Richard Zare, the Marguerite Blake Wilbur Professor in Natural Science at Stanford University. Zare discusses the Molecular Frontiers Inquiry Prize, which encourages anyone under the age of 18 to ask a short question about molecular science, one for which they hadn't yet been able to find an answer. The inaugural awards took place in Stockholm on May 30, and the winning questioners received not only a prize, but also an answer to their question.
