IYC Weekly Round-upSome of the IYC happenings from 3/5-3/11:
- The Philosphically Disturbed blog ran a wonderful post on Tuesday entitled "Women in Chemistry Are Not Named Marie Curie" that lists lots of women who have made great contributions to the field. Magdeline Lum, the blog's author, is also writing a chemistry-related post every day for IYC.
- On Wednesday, Hungarian scientists launched an interactive chemistry site, chemgeneration.com, which is available in several languages.
- The German Chemical Society has produced a booklet, only available in German, on choosing and pursuing careers in chemistry (Science Careers Blog).
- BASF expanded its Kids' Labs program to New Jersey.
